This course will look at how people are moving on to Universal Credit from other benefits including who should and should not be moved.

For many people, moving on to Universal Credit is not a positive experience as they will have less frequent payments, responsibility for paying their own housing costs and can have increased debts and increased claimant commitment responsibilities.

Some people moving on to UC could have avoided this if they had been made aware of this in time. For those that should not be moved, we will identify strategies to prevent or delay moves on to Universal Credit. The course will also look at the next stage of migration on to Universal Credit and how this will work and how we can prepare our clients.

These are practical courses led by a Welfare Benefits legal advisor. You will obtain top tips and information you can use from day 1 to support your clients to make Universal Credit work for them.

Cost: £45+vat per person.
