Professor Jean McHale

Jean is Professor of Healthcare Law and Director of the Centre for Health Law Science and Policy at the University of Birmingham. Her recent books include Principles of Medical Law (4^th ed) (Oxford University Press 2017, edited with Judy Laing) and European Health Law: Themes and Implications (Cambridge University Press 2015, co-authored with Tamara Hervey).

Intensive Support

Funded by Coventry Building Society and the NHS Innovation Fund, the Law Centre employs two intensive support workers to help vulnerable clients to not only solve their immediate legal issue but to take a holistic approach to addressing underlying issues, enabling them to move from a position of crisis to a point of stability.
