Our services are designed to prevent problems growing by acting on them early.
We want to be part of a community that works to reduce preventable need and enables ‘readiness’ - so more of our population can thrive. Our vision is that the communities we work in have practical knowledge of legal rights and the power they offer in supporting the management of day to day issues that affect the lives of those who are socially and economically disadvantaged. We want legal rights to be understood and relied upon at the earliest point in a transaction, so those who need it get the earliest help for a problem.
We work to shift the emphasis of help from crisis response to prevention, capacity building, and resilience. We work with partner organisations to grow strengths and assets in individuals and mobilise community support networks while using legal advice to build engagement and trust. This ethos underpins all of our work but some of our programmes are focused entirely on this agenda.
