We are looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic individual who shares our passion for social justice to work from our Birmingham office. You will provide casework and administrative support to our legal teams in particular in the field of welfare rights, housing and community care.

As well as getting involved in all aspects of casework you will assist with the management and administration of our busy student advice clinics. You will develop your skills working with experienced caseworkers and assist all aspects of case management including, taking instructions from clients, drafting; legal research and liaising with clients and third parties.

Ideally you will be a graduate who has or is undertaking the Legal Practice Course or equivalent.  The ability to manage a varied workload is essential along with excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work.

We are committed to investing in our staff’s development and you will receive excellent supervision and training opportunities. We have a good track record in offering trainee contract positions whenever possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a greater insight into the workings of a social welfare legal team and gain experience before deciding whether to embark on a career as a solicitor.
