  1. Work for us

Work for us

Access to justice strengthens our democracy and changes people’s lives.

Law centres fulfil a unique role in enabling access to justice. Specialising in social welfare law and embedded within communities where we can reach the most disadvantaged, we have an in-depth knowledge of the issues people face and understand how the law of everyday life can protect people and communities as intended. We use this knowledge to help people save their homes; keep their jobs; protect their families; access care in the community and much, much more.

My motivation comes from knowing that the law centre positively impacts people's every day lives and that everyone who works here wants to keep on doing exactly that, no matter how difficult or hostile the environment becomes.

Are you an experienced solicitor or caseworker? We are looking to expand our teams to support our vital work in Birmingham and Coventry in all areas of law including:
housing, immigration, welfare benefits, housing, community care, employment, and public law.

Why work for us?

Make a difference for individuals living in some of the most marginalised communities by defending and enforcing their rights, challenging unfair decisions and take cases to the highest courts
Work with those clients to help them navigate problems better in the future and keep their lives on track
Form close partnerships with other community-focused services to help to place legal rights at the heart of their work and to activate a rights-based approach in their contacts with service users. Blending our work with theirs so that together we can offer more holistic support to people
Build an alliance of organisations committed to identifying and tackling systemic injustice using legal processes
