I want to volunteer or get another job while I am furloughed, is this allowed?

Yes, you can volunteer while you are on furlough. You are also allowed to work for another employer as long as they are not linked to your current employer if your current contract of employment allows you to do so. You would need to check your contract of employment to check that there are no restrictions about taking other employment. This is because although you are not working for your current employer you are still employed and bound by any contractual terms.

Intensive Support

Funded by Coventry Building Society and the NHS Innovation Fund, the Law Centre employs two intensive support workers to help vulnerable clients to not only solve their immediate legal issue but to take a holistic approach to addressing underlying issues, enabling them to move from a position of crisis to a point of stability.
