If I am furloughed will it affect my terms and conditions?

No. During any period of furlough your terms and conditions remain the same except that your salary may be reduced to 80% of your normal salary or £2,500 whichever is lower. Some employers may choose to pay the additional 20% of your salary but are not obliged to do so.

It is possible that the 20% reduction in your income could mean that you are eligible to claim welfare benefits. Please contact our welfare benefits team who will be able to give you advice specific to your circumstances.
